THE ORCHARD

No. 111 Orchard Hills Community Association, Inc. April 2013

http://orchardhillscommunity.org You’re in District ______

From The President

Neighbors,

Spring is almost in full swing and our general meeting in March has given us a new slate of officers for 2013. I will be your president, Donnie Saine, and while I have lived in the community since 1991 I have lived in the area all my life. This community is a great place to raise a family.

As summer approaches please be mindful of children playing especially around the park. Also please remember to pick up after yourself and your pets. The board is working hard at this time of year to collect dues so that we can continue with the activities and the zoning awareness that keeps our neighborhood safe from encroaching businesses.

If you need any assistance please contact your area director or any of the officers. I hope you enjoy a safe and pleasant summer.

Sincerely,

Donnie Saine, President

Stopping Unsolicited Mail, Phone Calls, and Email

Tired of having your mailbox crammed with unsolicited mail, including preapproved credit card applications or your email full of unsolicited advertising? Fed up with getting telemarketing calls just as you're sitting down to dinner? You can cut down on the number of unsolicited mailings, calls, and emails you receive. For more information, see the Federal Communications Commission's page at http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0262-stopping-unsolicited-mail-phone-calls-and-email.

Sports Equipment Needed

Hunt's Memorial United Methodist Church is coordinating the collection of baseball and softball gloves, cleats, balls, bats and any other baseball equipment that is no longer used or wanted. Lacrosse equipment including pads and sticks, as well as wrestling items such as shoes or headgear, are also appreciated. These items will be used by youth in the Mondawmin area of Baltimore City. Jim Foster, a high school coach in that area and who is a member of Hunt's, is spearheading the effort. For more information or to have any items picked up, contact him at jsfoster@towsonalumni.org or 410-296-2355, or contact Steve Lippy (s.lippy@verizon.net or 410-296-9150). [This is not a 501(c)3 program.]
