From The President
Happy Summer to you all! Summer is here and that means a neighborhood filled with the sounds of children enjoying Summer vacation. It also means vacations, barbeques, and get-togethers. This is a great time to reconnect with your neighbors that you have missed over the (supposedly) colder months as well as meet some of the new neighbors that have recently moved in. A couple of reminders: Please make sure you are being considerate of your neighbors with your get-togethers. It is great to get together, but not so much fun to have the police come by at 11pm to ask you to turn the music down. Additionally, please make sure you let your neighbors know if you will be going on vacation so they can keep an eye on your house, get your mail, bring in your trashcans, etc. We are very fortunate to live in such a great neighborhood where we can all look out for each other. We look forward to seeing a lot of you at the picnic in September. The picnic in September is a great time to meet all of the board members and learn about ways you can get involved in our community. We still are in need of one more district director to come to the meetings once a month and hand out newsletters. If you would like to get involved, please contact myself or one of the other board members. I wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable Summer!

Recycling
Did you know that Baltimore County has expanded the list of items that may be recycled? For example, waxed juice and milk containers are now included. For the complete list, visit the County's website at http://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/Agencies/publicworks/recycling/singlestream/collectioninformation.html
From a Resident
I would like to thank the very respectful and considerate residents in the community who remove their dog's deposits from their neighbors properties. Unfortunately, I've had a few appalling incidents. I twice witnessed someone putting their dog deposits in my trashcan sitting at the curb rather than taking it home with them. More recently, someone came into my fenced and gated yard to deposit their dog's mess into my trashcan. I contacted the Baltimore County Police regarding these incidents and wanted to share what they told me. According to the police, it is advisable to post a "No Trespassing" sign on your property. If someone ignores the sign, they can be arrested and charged. In the incident described above, the person could be charged with trespassing, destruction of property, stalking and harassment. The police also advised that if someone observes unusual actions or strangers on someone's property, photos could help the victim.
