From The President

Hello Everyone,

Whomever said March was the month of rough weather, must not have had the events of August and September of 2011 in mind. First an earthquake, then a hurricane, then the remnants of a tropical storm. It is good to see that we have all survived in some way or another (although some of us with fewer trees in our back yard). I want to thank you all for the neighborly spirit shown towards each other. You couldn't drive down a street without seeing power cords running across it. It was very nice to see everyone helping each other out. Hopefully most people are starting to return to normal. I know we are very excited to have all of the power lines reconnected to our house and the remnants of the trees removed. As always with the weather, plans get changed. We were sorry to have to cancel the picnic but unfortunately it was just too wet. We will look to see if we can reschedule it for the Spring.

Fall has always been my favorite season. It brings the start of school, pretty colors of leaves and cooler temperatures. With these falling leaves comes the need to rake and rake and rake. Please remember to do as much as you can to keep the leaves out of the gutter as this helps to keep the drains open. We are planning our Ghostly Gathering for the children in the neighborhood at the end of October. Information regarding this as well as the reminders about Trick or Treating should be coming out soon. As always, please feel free to contact myself or any of the board members with any concerns or comments. Have a great fall!

Jenn Fryer, President
