  • Recycling alert 5/9/2013 - This morning a lot of recycling was left because of plastic bags in the recycled material.  I spoke with a supervisor who was retrieving a can that had been corrected by the homeowner.  They are cracking down on this violation due to new processing equipment.  You must call 410-887-2000 to get your left materials picked up.  Seehttp://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/Agencies/publicworks/recycling/singlestream/collectioninformation.html or the paper calendar schedule you should have received for the rules.  Tell your neighbors too!

CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER - Santa will NOT be at the circle, but WILL travel the neighborhood at 3 PM and will stop and hand out gifts if children come out to meet the truck.

    Hi Everyone!
We have decided as a board to help a local neighbor collect toys for the children who lost everything in Staten Island from hurricane Sandy.
We will be collecting toys through 12/16.  Please bring any unwrapped toy for a child ages 3-12 to my house (18 Cavan Drive) between now and 12/16. We will also be collecting them next Sunday at Santa at the Circle. We will have a poster and some fliers to hand out to remind people.
    Thanks!
    Jenn

  • The GTCC will be holding a County Council Candidates Forum on Sept. 8 at 7:00 pm at the Cockeysville Library. County Council candidates from the 3rd and 2nd Districts, Democrats & Republicans, have been invited to attend. It is important that you make your members aware of this event and that we have a sizable attendance. Why, you may ask? Well because if we hope to influence events in the future and effectively impress our leaders of the importance of Timonium, we need to make a strong impression. In the Third Council District, candidates too often talk about rural preservation, cell towers effecting the views of beautiful vistas and the like. I am not trying to marginalize these matters, but are they the important topics forTimonium, a suburban area and not a rural one? In the Second Council District, a similar situation abounds because of geography. Hunt Ridge, Wellington Valley, Longford and the Falls Road Community Associations are important parts of the greater Timonium Community, but because of the unique geography of the Second Council District, these associations are only a very small part of the district that is heavily weighted towards communities to the west and south of our area, such as Ruxton, Pikesville and the like.
